Mayan Riviera

This is the lobby of the Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar. It is a beautiful open air lobby with water gardens. The lobby area held restaurants, casual seating, bar, restrooms, and excursions information.

This is a view of the water Gardens looking from the restaurant towards the lobby. It was always a great way to start the day having breakfast with such a fantastic view. The pond was full of fish, water plants and the area was home to many tropical birds.

This is a walkway from your room to the Lobby and restaurants. There was all kinds of exotic wildlife and plants.  It made you feel like your were in a secluded jungle.

This is the tram that took you from the beach or your room to the lobby of the hotel. If you were caught short on time to make an excursion, it was great to make up time. During the day musicians played for you, making the trip that much more relaxing. We preferred the jungle walkways.

The beach area was just great. It was about a very long beach with many chairs and palapas to keep you cool. The waves are just right. Big enough to have fun in but not so big your worrying about your safety. Of course always look for the caution flags on the beach to get an idea of the waves and more importantly the under tow.
